Most know them as the mysterious bartender that seems to know more than they reasonably should. Their main interest is setting up hunts for Sachiel and muttering with Natascha about plots and other things. Their motives are unknown, what they plan on doing is also unknown- but it is known that do really enjoy Sachiel’s company to the point they offered him room and board if he agreed to a contract to essentially make Sachi as their own personal hunter. They seem to let people in, but don’t let them know much about Cy themself.

Cy is a very short individual with darker tanned skin and brown hair that has been bleached everywhere with the exception of the roots. Their hair is chopped short around the bangs, but longer in the back at around shoulder length. They are constantly wearing a pair of sunglasses and as a result no one is aware of their eye color. They are more heavy set, and are constantly dressed in a dapper style of apparel, be it suits, vests or general formal-wear.

Cy is a person who is infectiously, and almost obnoxiously, cheery at all times and is frequently seen greeting customers with a very large grin on their face. Well, until you step on their toes enough. Being the main proprietor of a very popular bar and club, Cy is usually seen fronting their 'customer service' persona, letting this fall generally after closing or with closer friends. They do still have a surprisingly optimistic outlook on life, but it's also very clear that they are being run ragged by overworking themself constantly without much of a break. That being said, they have no tolerance for people destroying the place they worked so hard to make the way it is, and the persona falls the minute a fight breaks out and they have to call the Bouncers on patrons.

Cy is very excitable when it comes to their interests, and though they're rarely talked about- when the topics do come up they tend to just keep talking regardless of whether or not anyone is still listening. It's clear that they're very passionate about the things they enjoy and what they do, but it's also quite clear that most people don't talk to them about their interests as much as they would like. That being said, if you want to know anything about anything, Cy probably has too many answers.

Above all else, kindness is their main philosophy as they've encountered and heard from a lot of individuals and they have also dealt with some heavy things in their life. They tend to try their best to do what they can for people, be it directing them to better aid, or even just giving them a space to step aside for a bit. They have a big heart and are definitely not afraid to show it.

Cy tends to enjoy coding in their pass-time, they seem to always be typing away and making something that the others around them just can't decipher. They also are a bit of an interior decorator, having decorated their bar on their own. They're also rearranging and setting up new looks for their apartment, but when they get tired of that they practice pottery... they're not good at it, but they like to try new things when they can... except for cooking. There is a reason they have hired chefs to work at the bar.

According to a slip of the tongue, Cy actually has not always lived in the Undertow. They actually once belonged to the Upstairs and lived there well before either of the Brothers had arrived... but due to circumstances they refuse to get into, they ended up down below instead. They also don't seem to want to talk about their previous work that funded the construction and overhaul of the Hovel as it is today.

It is very understandable however, that they choose to not talk about it as they once worked alongside Emerson and Jameson before being betrayed, as was the rest of their team before they all separated. They had been working on a replication of the device used to transport the Brothers there, as they required a second one to easily be able to return home and gather their other devices (not wanting to create new versions of those as well). Cy was offered their knowledge of transportation technology in exchange for an easy access back home.

Naturally, that was a lie as instead Cy was tossed out of the project upon completion, then blackmailed and had their entire reputation tarnished by the two along, with the rest of the team- watching as the two Brothers exchanged their knowledge once again for leverage and money within the city. Leaving Cy cast aside. Cy ended up personally descending to the Undertow and having all of their funds transferred, swearing vengeance for putting them and their colleagues out of their job, and ripping away any progress they had on their life's work.

Since then, Cy has been working alongside Natascha to get what information they both can (as she was part of the original crew and had bailed on arrival of the Brothers) so the two of them could develop their own version of the same device to ideally send the two back home before they could do whatever it was they wanted with their home, or die trying. Cy frequently puts together all of the information Natascha can steal and drag down to them between hunts, keeping her in good standing with the Upstairs so she can use her free access back and forth above, while keeping a low profile on their actual plans.

Regarding the Hovel, however, they're very happy to talk about it's history and how it came to be. When they did come down they used the money they still had from their Upstairs job to buy out the entire building complex, apartments included. They rent the apartments to their staff only, trying to keep everyone together and make things 'easier' as they say. Cy did all the renovations mostly their own however, down to even building the stage at the center of the bar where they host 'performers' on the weekends (with the help of some of their staff).

This is updated with the most important relevant persons for now, and will have more characters later.

Natascha

[Co-worker/Best Friend]

Natascha and Cy met a long time before anyone else started to appear in the Undertow from the vortexes- and they immediately became good friends with her properly after their unfortunate encounter with the Brothers. Cy cares greatly for Nat, especially after realizing how long they had worked together prior to their reunion one night at the Hovel. The two of them seem truly inseperable and both work together on a common goal. Cy feels like Natascha is one of the only people they can talk to freely.

Cy ensures that Natascha consistently has access to high level work, able to scope out and get some of the best paying hits before anyone else. While it's not mentioned how they seem to be capable of doing so, it's for the benefit of them both and Cy also ensures no one else can find out anything about either of them. Everyone is entitled to their secrets after all.

Sachiel

[Co-worker/Friend]

Cy finds Sachiel to be fascinating. They tend to look at him more like a lab experiment than a person sometimes, which is a bit odd given they're supposed to just be a bartender. While they do seem to genuinely care about Sachiel's well-being it also very much so feels very clear that Cy has ulterior motives with keeping him around, and Sachiel is definitely aware of this fact. Neither talk to one another with malice, both are fairly amicable, but it is clear that Cy gets on his nerves a little bit on purpose. They tend to talk to Sachiel more as colleague than as friends though.

Viktor

[Co-worker/Friend]

Cy loves Viktor's attitude and vibes, clearly enjoying the fact there is someone else like them who is a bit more on the chipper and upbeat side of the coin... but it's also very clear that just like with Sachiel, Cy treats Viktor like something to study and experiment with, rather than as a person. Cy seems decently close to Viktor which is nice, but it's also interesting that Cy seems to try their best to do what they can to make sure Viktor is very comfortable in his new life- moreso than they ever seem to be with Sachiel which is a bit odd. They almost seem to be trying to make up for something with him.

Emerson & Jameson

[Beloathed]

The two brothers are one of the few circumstances where Cy is actively seen talking about someone with malice. It's very clear they have a strong disdain for the two, tending to lean towards explaining how they caused damage to their property... but it also seems to go deeper than that, and it's not something Cy seems to ever go into. Sachiel has pried to no avail about why they seem so out to get the two, but it's likely just not the right time for them to talk about it with others. Cy naturally wants the two dealt with in whatever means possible, but it's also obvious they have no means of doing so and are stuck in an endless frustration loop against the two.
